Please see reviews on Lin below.

I coordinated a special event for the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at which Lin provided an informative, entertaining program on Mahjong. She was clearly organized with written instructions, booklets and other material pertinent to the lessons. That she came dressed in a different Chinese costume for each lesson was a perk to all the ladies in the group. All of the participants were enthusiastically playing mahjong at the end of the course. I highly recommend Mahjong Basics and will do another Special Event using them because I know they are a proven success.”

Dear MahJong Lady,
Thank you so much for turning our “dragged-to-the-table” men into the mahjong mavens they’ve become. When we four embarked on the lessons, you promised we would be playing within the hour and we were. You wowed us with your history and interesting tidbits about the game and you created true converts. Although we now play at least once a week, we are having some trouble with these guys of ours. They want to go to Chinatown and gamble with the big boys. But all kidding aside, we certainly are enjoying our games, the rotating dinners associated with these evenings and the widening circle of friends who want to learn where we learned. We’re looking forward to planning our first annual dim sum/mahjong fundraiser. Thanks for your good cheer and fascinating presentations.”

 Dear Lin,
Thank you for the extra notes! I so enjoyed yesterday. It was fun and very interesting too! You made the class so exciting. I am looking forward to next week. Take care”

Our group had such a really good time taking lessons with you. We have all bought Chinese pajamas for our Marathon Mahjong Sleepover Weekend in the Hamptons in two weeks. Can you believe this – a group of grown, successful, women looking forward to acting like sleepover teenagers. You’ve created the monster five. PS: You are invited to join us – bring a bottle of Pieper with you.!!!

I can’t believe it! This weekend when we went to the Berkshires, I played with that group that has been playing together for so many years and would not let me join them. One of them was sick and I filled in. I MAHJONGGED TWICE. They invited me to play again. Either you are one fantastic teacher or I am a genius to have learned that much in two and half hours with you. I think I will opt for both.”

Hi Lin,
You came, you taught and you conquered. Everyone in our condo wants you to come back and teach another 4 sessions so that those who were in Florida when you were here, can play this summer. The bridge players hate us because of the clicking of the tiles. But we are having a wonderful time. Our party room is becoming a mahjong room. Call me to set up dates.

We met Lin at a party and she convinced my husband, me and another couple we knew to take lessons with her. I remembered my aunt playing the game when I was little, so it seemed like something interesting that was new and a bit different. None of us had any idea how much fun it was going to turn out to be. She was a really good teacher and made it so interesting that I arranged for her to teach our company book club how to play. She told us it would give us a lifetime of fun and I think that is really true. We have now started collecting antique mahjong sets. Thanks Mahjonglady!

You are the reigning Mahjong queen. We were such an unsure group of 12 and you truly made everything so easy. I never enjoyed any games, but because of you (sounds like a pop song) I am addicted to this game. Thank you from all of us.
